today i went out to town after resting awhile at home after i came back from my guardduty this morning.
gonna try to keep this post “as short and sweet as possible” as its 4am now!
but i seem to have the habit of describing alot with every photos that i’ve taken.
:X
FIRSTLY.
lunch at bugis wanton mee place.
its beside 友记鸭饭 there, opposite bugis junction, behind a busstop. and it has a stairway up to the indoor seating area.
as recommended by my friend, its really quite nice!
the sauce is special, very fragrant, not too saltish and the noodles are ‘Q’ enough!
I love Q noodles and not those nua nua ones.
only bad thing is if you are ordering a small one, $3.50, the serving is super small and the wanton, although is crispy, has only like a 20cents size meat inside?
definitely not enough for a army boy like me.
so i left the place, still hungry. but nevertheless, its my breakfast only!
yea, breakfast at 1pm.
gonna find more food!
then when we were on the way to bugis street, we saw this at the traffic lights.
they are playing English chess right in the middle of the pedestrian crossing!
this is what the jamaica man wrote on his “signboard”
i saw this man been mentioned on the Newpaper before.
after that, did some shopping at OG and finally managed to get my sweater for only $19!
Damn cheap la. Even my scarf cost me like $16?
went down to central and then liang court for some good food :)
a christmas tree in the day looks equally pretty.
some christmas performances thingy at central.
last last week, we were already mesmerised by the Okonomayaki and the Japanese Curry.
but at that time, we already had our dinner before we saw the restaurant, therefore we decided to come back today!
Thats their japanese curry.
Not that up to our expectations.
Comments from both me and my friend is that the pork cutlet is not juicy enough, it taste rather try and the batter tastes cheap, like you take the bread crumbs and stick it on the pork then you fry it, thats all.
And the curry is like so not Japanese la. Like from India rather, its quite spicy and dry, doesnt go well with the rice, should’ve been more watery-like.
Both of us prefers the Japanese Curry at Bugis Junction B1, Bishamon.
Hmm.
My friend is not very happy with his Japanese Pork Cutlet Curry.
Next-up, my Pork Modan-Yaki.
Its supposed to be fried noodles with egg wrap, pork and stuffs.
Turns out the sauce on top is too saltish and there is a lot of cabbage inside, there is in fact more cabbage than noodles.
The batter is not that nice also. Pretty tasteless.
Finally, our Okonomayaki arrived!
Quite disappointing also, cause its pretty much the same as my fried noodles.
Only difference is that the noodles is changed to a batter form, like those you eat in the pasar malam, or the takopachi thing.
I added some dried grated seaweed to enhance the taste more.
Got super sick of eating the Okonomayaki and my noodles and end up didn’t finish all of them
Then they very funny, cause after we cleared our plates and stuffs already, they placed a bottle of dried bonito fish flakes on our table.
Argh! The bonito fish flakes is like a must-have on the Okonomayaki la. Dots.
The only great thing that i must praise is their efficient speed of refilling our green tea drink.
-_-
Thats the best thing about this restaurant, generally, everything kinda sucks there.
And the menu is so limited
Like lets say, Pork Oko, Seafood Oko, Mixed Oko, then the seafood oko will be not available.
Cause the waiter told us that the silver sticker means not available.
And i see like at least 2-3 stickers in every type of dish they have.
After the dinner, we went to walk around Clarke Quay.
Duck tour.
No i’m not gonna go on board them!
Just some random photos.
Then I spotted this.
See.
Theres a restaurant called guang ting!
haha.
guang ting = my army friend.
Like this pic.
COLOURS.
Then we went to buy this fruit platter from B1, Central.
Cost $2.50 only and they got quite a variety of fruits in this platter.
Theres cherry, strawberry, mango, melon, apple, papaya, plum and one unknown fruit.
Always will buy this fruit platter when i come to Central.
A close-up shot.
I love bright colours.
