saw some photo albums and blogs of some taiwanese ppl and i super wanna try living in taiwan for a period of my life la!
i guess, the closest i can get to fufil my dream is to … have overseas studies attachment? or perhaps, save enough money after a few years of working and open a shop in taiwan?!
okayyy im thinking tooo far…
i didnt manage to blog about my previous taiwan trip last year because i was not so into blogging and was super lazy to post so many photos online. so there isn’t any way for recollections.
here are some photos for me to reminisce on while i keep dreaming abt gng to taiwan again. (maybe shanghai would be a good substitute, the cold weather and stuffs.)
it will be separated into a few parts.
part 1 - night scenes in taiwan!
see! the bubble tea counter is so crowded with ppl la!
did u see the word “豪” at the right side of the pic? Its the 豪大大鸡排 stall!
I bought the bittergourd juice which my colleague recommended to me. it didnt suit my taste buds :(
theres also the super famous 泡泡冰 from the pic in which the ice is super soft and it literally melts straight away in your mouth!
we bought the popular flavours, milk, and peanut!
i got quite sick of the peanut flavour after a few mouthful, but the milk one was superb!
argh! we bought lots of food la. cause we got limited time at shi linh.
i was already super full when i was eating the ice dessert. or else i would’ve enjoyed the dessert more!
other famous food that we bought included 棺材板(fried bread, with different fillings inside),生蚝煎,大肠包小肠(sausage wrapped inside glutinous rice sausage with pickles and sauce).
OKAY! next stop, 西门町!
the very famous 阿宗面线, which is mee sua with pig’s big intestine!
its super nice la.
i love pigs intestine and i love mee sua = i super love this dish.
and the special thing abt this shop is that u have to stand while eating their food, theres no seats in this shop, just a empty space in front of the shop for u to either squat, stand or whatever position u can think of while u slurp on the mee suaes~
i super love this doll machines la! its so easy to catch dolls from these machine in taiwan. the dolls are not placed to ridiculously like in singapore.
and whats more, it only cost 50c SGD per play, 10TWD only!
i got myself a mobile phone keychain from these machine! haha.
another of my top favourites of taiwan!
basketball machines!
in taiwan, the basketball and doll machine can occupy a whole shop and the pic below, there is 2 storey of basketball machines!
amazing right!? Its how popular these machines are in taiwan!
and again, its 50c SGD only!!
a 卤味 stall nearby my hotel in ximending.
look at the amount of choices!
this is somewhere in 台中 already?
look! theres this building that has all these brands!
a picture taken from a stairway of a shopping mall.
multistorey mcdonalds opposite!
all these street stalls open till very late! normally till midnight, some bigger ones even till 2am or even 4am if i never rmb wrongly!
singapore shld have more of such places!
not some pathetic late night shopping at orchard road every saturday whereby most of the shops closes by 1030pm and nothing is left by midnight. okay, maybe cineleisure only.
nice! taipei 101!
its really cute of taiwanese to put the heart shape up there to replace the digit ‘0’.
the view from the top!
you have to pay like $17.50 SGD to get to the top, where its the 88th storey??
nearby 101 is the 诚品书店! i think i went to the wrong branch coz the one i heard was 24 hrs. this one opens till late night but its stil not 24hours!
and i checked the map and nearby, there is really another 诚品书店!
at the basement, there is some sort of a foodcourt, and it sell famous local desserts!
粉圆,花生,豆花,汤圆! in taiwan, they sometimes call their 珍珠 = 粉圆。
五分埔 next!
