yooo!

ytd was yet another impromptu trip to crabbing at Sungei Simpang Kiri

so i cycled to chongpang with my barang barang, to meet kl for lunch there.

we went to chongpang hawker to have lunch and when we were there, i saw durians for sales!

and i love durians that comes with the original packaging a.k.a, the shells!

i dont like those packed nicely in Styrofoam boxes.

Cause when u are opening the durian, sometimes u might get surprises, secret compartment and another durian pops out!

Hahah.

so i bought 2 durians, 1 for 2bucks.

in the end i went home then eat the durian.

the yellow one was nicer! and alot of meat.

the green one, hard and quite meatless.


haha.

then we cycled all the way to the canal.


nearly died la, with all the loads and the freaking hot weather.




we finally reached and it was the lowest tide of the day?

but we found out the slipway was sealed up, meaning you cant crab over there le!

so we went to look for another part of the shoreline that we will be able to cast out our traps.

finally found some rocky place, filled with STUPID BARNACLES i hate them!

then i cast my fishing rod crab trap, and i got 2 in one flower crab!

a big one and a small one came up together!

seeing that it was productive, i went to setup my bamboo trap.

set-up one first, just in case it didnt work, cause we are like casting the traps from the shore, unlike the normal way where we cast it from jetties.

cast, retrieve, nothing.

yx : kl! this time you try cast the bamboo trap!

kl : *cast*

then after a while, i went to retrieve the bamboo trap.

yx : *pulllsss*

Pulling halfway, i saw a big lump of brown thing on my trap.

I was thinking, omg omg, is it a giant crab!

.

AND YES!!

ITS a ADULT MUD CRAB lahhhhh!

my first one!

this was the pic taken at that time.

and i caught him at 2:30pm, i still remember!

it was tangled like shit on the bamboo trap and i had a hard time trying to untrap her.

OMG!

i screamed and went to shake kl’s hand and congratulated both of us lahh!

kl casted the trap and i retrieved it!

so its like both of us’s luck and effort!


then the tide kept coming up and we had to look for higher grounds.

we shifted to something which looked like a mini slipway.

then started crabbing again.

this time round, the bamboo trap wasnt working at all.

the fishing rod crab trap kept reeling in BIG BIG flower crab lor!

like one family like that, one after another.

hahah.

released the smaller ones and left with 7 good sized ones :D

this mud crab DAMN fierce la.

my mum went to play with it with the tongs and the crab will go super hostile and go KIAP KIAP the tongs at lightning speed.

my bro’s GF also went to play with it and also said its super fierce!

maybe that will make me feel less sad that i’m eating her.

so fierce!

and this morning my dad called my mum and said that this SUPER fierce crab managed to escape the pail!

and the pail is like super tall la.

the standard pail size.

and the crab managed to run out!!

my dad say he saw the crab infront of my door!
(phew, luckily its locked!)

my dad say shes back for revenge!

lol.

then my dad fed her some bread and used the crab trap to cover the pail this time round.

I’m gonna eat her soon le!

My mum will be cooking chilli crab later!

:D

I still feels abit pityful when i look at the motionless crab.

But cant be helped la, finally gotten a adult mud crab, cant expect me to release u :(
