Egg Tarts day again, couldn’t resist it, cause the previous time i baked all this egg tarts, they were gone in like a day?



And ya, what’s wrong with a guy baking!

I think baking is really some kind of knowledge man, its more knowledge-based cause there’s like a lot of chemical stuffs like the amount of flour and baking powder ratio, the eggs ratio, the temperature factors bla bla.

Of course i’m not up to the standards yet, i just find good recipes and try to follow them.

And to follow the recipe strictly requires quite a lot of discipline too.

Its not like you play masa masa(toy cooking) in your childhood days k!

Meaning its not easy!

And many of the famous cooks and bakers are also males.

So what’s so wrong with a guy baking!?

ROAR.

I’m ranting again.




Here’s the big piece of dough that i rolled out.

And its not one only, its a combination of two different dough to create a layerness in the egg tarts, meaning 酥皮, and its of course harder than the normal biscuit type egg tarts shells.

it’s so big, look at cy’s hand in contrast.

she came to help out as i’m making double portions this time round.

(6 are like cheated, cause the remaing dough that i cut left over, i just rolled them together and cut again, meaning the layers are like disrupted le, but i still sent them for baking and the layerness like still quite there!)

2 from the pic is gone, one eaten by me and the other by my father.

Guess what, after baking, i went to catch Wolverine with alvin and his bro on its first day screening at yishun GV and when i came back, it was only like 3-4 hours time.

5 of my egg tarts got gobbled by my BROTHER!

That’s alot of egg tarts k!

I’m happy that its atually so NICE that he ate 5 in a row!



Next up, Chomp Chomp @ Serangoon Garden army guys meet-up.

Thanks to organiser shuirong, we got to meet up after like 2+ mths after ORD!?

It was so longgggg since we all gathered la, but there were like unofficial smaller gatherings going on bla bla, but not counted.

JL was still looking here like 2secs ago ~_~.
