went to this restaurant called Oomphatico's at Tanglin Mall as recommended by lily.
we didnt know how to get to Tanglin Mall initially, so we checked the maps thru my itouch and lily's macbook and asked ard and finally, we figured out the way and reached the place!

the menu.

ohh regarding the menu.
lily was quite disappointed.

she saw on the web that this restaurant serves their french fries with 5 other sauces placed in test-tubes and you can just mix the sauces together with the fries.

she was attracted by this test-tube thingy but sad thing is, she asked the waiter for that and the waiter told him that the present menu is the new menu and they now offer fine-dining.
no longer the hip-hop dancing and partying restaurant that they used to be.

at that point, i could feel the waiters sense of sadness in him. he also added that its because another boss took over the restaurant and thats why they change their way of working.

sad :(

the patterns on the cushioned seats.

they have a open-concept kitchen.

generally, the restaurant's design and furnitures has a very england feel.

lily busy doing up her report. she was supposed to do a write-up on a restaurant for her sociology project.

i ordered this, linguine with clams, mussels, parsley and white wine.
their bowl has a very special design which has a slanted design, so that you will have a full view of your pasta.

the linguine was okay only. but they really have lots of clams and mussels inside!
and i love it.

alvin, satisfied with his macaroni.

lily was interviewing one of the waiters over there and he told us one of this chair cost them $700! and they have like at least 20+ of this over there.

Total Damage.

after our dinner, we walked along orchard road and stopped at wheellock, kinokuniya, heeren and finally settled at cineleisure to catch a movie.

while waiting for the movie, we went to grab some supper :X

fangwei ordered chicken curry rice.
the curry sauce is nice! spicy and thick enough.
but fangwei complaint that they gave too many potato and too little meat.

the all-time-favourite HK milk tea.

i ordered luncheon meat + egg + noodles.

the rest of the day was spent watching the movie, "20th century boys"

look out for the review in my previous post!

This video is damn funny la.
