21st birthday is supposed to be like a very big event.

But i didnt celebrated it that way.

Like what some of my friends did, i celebrated the actual day with few of my close friends.

And on other days, had celebrations with my different grp of friends and i felt that kinda was a good way.
i had all the time for all of them and i really enjoyed all the different celebrations from my grps of friends.

City Square, Johor - 30th Aug ‘09

City Square is damn accessible la.

If you happen to live in the north too, its like me going to town to shop like this.

1. Get to Woodlands interchange/Marsiling MRT Station bus stop, board 950.
2. Reach Custom, pass Singapore custom.
3. Get back on bus, enjoy the nice view on the Causeway.
4. Alight at Malaysia Custom(Its damn nice and fully air-conditioned now, looks like Changi airport), fill up the white form get your passport chopped and off you go!
5. Walk in the direction of the direction panel, which will direct you to City Square.
6. After the fully-sheltered walk-way, cross a bridge and there you are, CITY SQUARE!

And i think City Square is a good place to shop la!

They got a section in the shopping mall that caters to youth wear.

And we spent the entire rest of our day shopping there la!

I like the shop attendants over there, they won’t come and stop you when you are taking photos while trying out the caps and stuffs.

And they have MARYBROWN!!

I LOVE IT.



Bao Face.

the many different flavours of Baos greeted us, first thing when we entered city square.

but we didnt had much time left, so we decided to go and try out more local flavours!

this weird guy was cooking my noodles and was trying to communicate with us.

jason even thought that he was trying to “xian” xiaoxin.

one thing slightly bad that i found out was, most of them will try to speak in malay at least, english + malay with us.

and i totally know nuts about speaking malay.

okay i know.

nasi goreng, mee goreng, kuay teow goreng.

lol.

then this guy was asking me “ You Order arh-per?”

Then i rmb “arh-per” means “What”.

Phew, or else it will be like one chicken and one duck talking to each other.

the sauce was not bad, quite special.

but theres like only 1 piece of mushroom.

They sell all sorts of weird Baos with weird fillings.

Looks really beautiful and appetising!

they have flavours such as Sotong, Onion Chicken, Curry etc and other sweet flavours.

turned out it wasn’t v.nice.

Reached home at around 11pm.

Then had a mini celebration with my family.

My mum’s bday is on 31th August.

Therefore everyyear, we will cut our cake at near midnight of 30th Aug.

Okay i’m getting really sleepy and this post like in a messsssss!

I just gotten my sociology assignment which will be counted into my CA and also my CAP!

ROARRR.

The stress is building up and i needa start mugging.

I’m loving econs tutorial more and more.

Maybe its the tutor and the tutorial questions.

I like my tutor for her swiftness,witty-ness and multi-faceted answers.

Reminds me of my JC tutor :)

I love the experiments during econs tutorial la!

Backtrack abit, tueday morning’s sun was good!

Had a nice tanning cum swimming session with fw.

I love the sun la.

and my stupid singlet tanline is fading away.

Okay baaaack to the 2 Day 1 Night Trip.

Haha.

Actually its a camping outing for kaili’s bday celebration!

Not some fantastic overseas trip …

Let the Journey begin with a collage!

Met up early at 10am to buy the food for BBQ at sembawang NTUC.

My virgin fried bee hoon!

And first time i fried bee hoon and i have to fry 4 person’s share.

and they succeed!

met up with kl, the birthday girl at 2:30pm.

MRT-ed to cityhall and took 36 to marine parade.

our barang barang for that the day’s outing.

Finally, we reached ECP and we choosed our campsite, its at area C, quite a distance to the right of mcdonald.

yb and zj know how to set the tent up liao.

its kind of a TRUE or DARE game.

but there’s nothing to DARE, so we played TRUE only, coupled with a hit by the Club by everyone else.

we played the game all the way until it reached 12 midnight!

me and zj went to the nearby toilet to bath.

phew, luckily we decided to bath.

it was damn comfortable after bathing la!

no oily and smelly BBQ smell on our shirt.

with yb’s sleeping bag laid out in the tent, it’s like’s comfortable la.

except that it’s abit hot, considering that we are facing the sea.

weird huh.

Day 2!

Next morn!

I was still lazily sleeping at that time.

was so “oh my god” la!

they started hailing “HA… HA… HA…”

as if they are channeling all their “qi” from their stomach and forcing them out their lungs.

and it really sounded so irritating, hilarious and scary la!

imagine u are in the tent sleeping and half way u hear people HA … HA … HA … around you.

OMG.

me and kl went to fish while zj and yb stayed in the tent.

and guess what!

i got 2 new species added to my list.

haha.

mantis shrimp and puffer fish!

yes puffer! :D

although its said that puffers are a common catch in ECP.

but its still my first puffer, so yea, im still excited by it!

when i reeled in my catch, i was thinking, wah this time got some decent fish, looks like a normal fish.

then when it came up, the uncle who was fishing nearby helped me unhook the fish with his hands.

and when the uncle grabbed the fish, the fish puffed up!

haha.

then i saw that it was a puffer!

be warned that it’s teeths are very sharp, they have human-size teeth and are considered irritating fishes which often will bite off the fishing lines of anglers.

and there’s a slight drama here la.

the NPark ppl came to our campsite.

then i was still fishing at the mini-jetty nearby.

then when i went back, yb and kl told me that the NPark ppl told them that we are at the wrong camping area!

it wrote on the receipt that our campsite is supposed to be area D instead of where we are, which is area C.

and i when i was booking the thingy online, i was not told i have to camp only at the area and that i was not given a choice of the areas.

the area was only shown on the receipt lol.

and the NPark ppl say he can fine us up to $200 since we are camping at the wrong site.

Dots, there’s like not a single soul camping on a monday morning at the ECP lor.

And he said he can add an additional $100 for the illegal BBQ pit.

OOps :X

that i accept it.

Luckily!!

The Npark ppl told us to quickly pack up and nothing will happen.


next up.

we packed up and went to mcdonalds at marine parade for breakfast!

and cake-cutting.

with the never-lit up candles.

**im hungry!**

yb die die also must take pic with the cake.

haha.

then we went to parkway timezone to play arcade!

and then we ran out of ideas of what to do.

then yb suggested going to minds cafe!

cause there’s a weekday promotion, $5(haven add GST) for 2pm-6pm with free-flow drinks!

sounds like a steal right!


the abit-boring game recommended by the staff.

we kept blanking out when we were playing the not so exciting games.

really couldn’t think well, with a sleepy mind.

haha.

taboo was still fun la!

all the games that we wanna play was occupied by the other tables!

ROAR.


and then the table beside us also had a birthday girl.

and they went to challenge the TRUE-or-DARE thingy set by minds cafe, if i not wrong, to get complimentary drinks?


and one of them was to have a 五连拍 with a stranger?

and i was the stranger –_-.

kl didn’t switch my camera mode back to the normal mode.

lol.

After the minds cafe, we all went home!

And that marks the end of our 2 Days 1 Night trip.

Gonna end the post abruptly, cause i think i typed enough already :(
