Went shopping today @ bugis.
Bought my school bag :D
And it’s considered my best retail experience in my life.
This is interesting lor.
I went to a few shops in bugis street to look for my backpack.
Then there was this shop which is super scary.
I went in then the super young sales girl started asking me what bag i was looking for.
Then i told her that i said its okay, and stuffs, i’ll just look around first.
Then she kept telling me this one nice, that one nice, you want this? Or this?
OMG.
Then i was like, okay nvm, i don’t really like their design, then i wanna leave the shop le.
Then the girl kept asking me want to see other bags, she can take it down for me.
Then i just keep saying keep saying that it was okay and then i just say i’ll go other place to look around first.
THEN, i walked out of the shop and 1 sales guy asked me “ You don’t want the bag ah?”
Then i say i look around more.
Then ANOTHER guy came and ask, “ Those bags not nice meh?”
OMG.
I was like this shop is a 黑店!
This is like totally nt the way to do business lahh!
I finally left the shop and told my friend i’ll never come back to this shop again.
Next, i went to the bag shop just opposite the fruit juice stall at the entrance of BUGIS STREET.
YEA, pls patronise this shop, cause i think their service is damn good lah.
I went to look at their bags and one of the sales girl came to me ask whether i wanna see any of the bags.
Then the conversation goes …
ME : *Took one of the bag to see, see see see.
SALES GIRL : Very politely, explain to me the functions of the bag, the internal shoe compartment, the multi-usage of the bag as a slingbag, backpack and a handcarry bag bla bla bla.
ME : Went to look at the other bag, thought that the first bag was too complicated and then this 2nd bag design is too simple and i hate the logo.
I explain to her my dilemma.
And she chatted with me saying that, sometimes, you will like a bag at first glance and some others, you will start to develop your likeness for them after sometime.
ME : SO i went on to browse on my 3rd bag and i was already quite guilty that i made her explain on the 1st and 2nd bag and she had to use the hook to hook them back and stuffs.
I said “ Okay, this is my last bag that i’m browsing!”
SALES GIRL : Its okay! No worries! Don’t need to paiseh, last time got a customer she came to browse 10bags and then just went off.
ME : Hahahahha… Oic… kk * Went on to explore my 3rd bag and i happen to really LOVE THE BAG at FIRST SIGN! :D
Hahaha.
One thing i like about her sales etiquette is that she will always give us some space and freedom to look at the bags ourselves and not keep giving comments and rushing us or what.
Whenever i needed her advice, she will be there to give really useful help lah.
And with her occasional jokes and stuffs, really made the whole retail experience so niceee lahh!
and my other friends all agreed that we all like her way of selling her things to us.
and recently i read on the papers that Singaporean shoppers like to shop without the sales person disturbing them and tagging along wherever we go in the shop.
It’s like when i need them, i’ll go to them lah.
I know they are trying to be helpful lah, but sometimes it’s this little stuffs that makes the difference ;D
and when i was paying for the bag, i didn’t even mind bargaining or whatever shit in bugis street.
cause i was happy to pay for the service, although i didnt know whether her student discount and stuffs was true.
I was happy lah!
okay help to advertise again.
Wanna buy bags at bugis street right.
Goto the one nearest to the entrance, when you enter bugis street, to your right, the first shop! :D
OOPS.
What a long post.
I wonder if anyone will bother to read finish…
My dinner,
Taiwan style beef knife-sliced noodles.
The noodles wasn’t very nice, i felt like i was eating slices of flour instead of noodles.
But the soup and beef not bad ah :D
BTW its a restaurant at B1 The Cathay.
Okay guess i talked enough.
I still wanna shop for a top and a jeans!
Anyone plsssss call me out for shopping!
