went fishing @

yishundam-1

last sunday.

used my camera’s panorama view function again.

took a picture of the salt water side, cause the other side is fresh reservoir water and im fishing at the salt-water side.

a must-have before embarking on my cycling trip on a super sunny day to yishun dam, my shades.

went on to chongpang to buy some baits, weights, hooks and fresh prawns.

reached yishun dam at about 1pm+

highest tide was at 2pm.

ideal time to reach, but it was super super hot and sunny!

our first catch!

2 fishes at one go, with fakes baits attached with prawn meats.

although quite small, still got lots of sense of accomplishment k!

our first 2 fishes.

and halfway, we saw a super big jellyfish!

its about the size of a NTUC plastic bag.

IMG_0007-1

it was very near the surface of the water and i tried to use my small hooks to hook it up, but it kept turning its body and didn’t managed to get hooked on!

IMG_0008-1

argh!

my hooks was like brushing on its meat and its not hooking up!

then slowly after, it went back into the deep sea…

and soon i saw another smaller size jellyfish, but didn’t bother to try to hook it again.

some nice views.

as the time pass, we got more fishes!

IMG_0023-1

my last 2 catch of the day.

towards the end, it was like super easy la.

I cast the lines, then i put my rod on the metal railings to rest.

then i hear my bell which is attached onto the rod, ringing.

Fish fish!

Reel up the lines,

2 fishes caught!

if not for sf had to book in at night and we had to leave earlier, we would've caught much more fishes!

Total 10 fishes.

Mini ones la.

But at least i got fish something!

Not like the day at sembawang park.

I guess i gonna try fishing for bigger fish next time round!

BTW, i 放生 all the 10 fishes and they happen to be still alive and kicking when they are back into the waters, except for one that unfortunately died.

Im so surprised they are still alive cause some of the fishes got so hooked onto the hooks that we practically had to tear open its mouth to unhook them.

One even got blinded entirely…

It teaches me that, no matter how hard your cooping with your life, don’t give up, cause even a fish has not given up on its life, even after such traumas!
