icelebrated mengyeow and weiyang’s bday at Kallang Leisure Park.

our plan to give a little surprise element into the celebration failed due to poor planning and coordinations :(

this year was a busy year as we got 3 new enlistees and all our birthday celebration was done in a shortcut manner. lol.

the main reason that we came all the way to kallang was to ICE SKATE!

its not cheap to ice skate in singapore wor.

now that the fuji ice palace at jurong is down, this kallang rink is having a monopoly situation now. and they call themselves the “ singapore largest ice skating rink” and there’s only 1 rink in singapore!?

admission fee for 2 hrs(without student pass) $14 + Skates $3.50 + Gloves(compulsory) $2 = $19.50

we entered the rink at about 3.20pm.

very soon, we were skating like fishes swimming in waters (如鱼得水)
haha.

but!! fangwei was very scared.

he kept holding on the the handles at the side and i kept asking him to detach from the side and i’ll hold on to his hands while we skate together.

then he will keep telling me that hes gonna fall~~ and tell me he will go back to the handles :(

its the ice resurfacing time at 4pm!

this machine will go around the rink to sprinkle some ice and then there will be a wiper at the rear of the machine to sort of spread out the ice on the ice surface.

after the resurfacing, the ice surface was super smooth la!

supernice to skate! i can go around gliding so smoothly as if im flying~

haha. okay im exaggerating.

then i told him this is in black and it looks nicer!

as usual, i ordered my favourite from pasta mania, mussels and clams with white wine!

then weiyang looked at my recipe and saw “linguine” which was the pasta name that i ordered.

then he said this,

“ so meepok is called linguine arh.”

everyone was like … dots la! weiyang!

haha.

then he continued with alvin’s spaghetti, saying that its the yellow noodles(黄面), those that you use for prawn noodles.

ARGH~! –_-

then weiyang and mengyeow went off for their own celebrations at home.

then me fangwei and alvin wanted to go to kbox.

so i called kbox cineleisure and they say that the charges is $17.50 for 1 drink, from 7pm-10pm
and i confirmed again by asking is it the NETT price, after adding all the triple plus(GST, service charge, KOD charges).

They said yes, its the final NETT price.

Then i asked if there is any tidbits then the person said that would be the $30+ package.

Of course i would go for the $17.50 package.
So the 3 of us went down to orchard and when we arrived at lvl 4 kbox, i asked what are the charges and they said its $30+.
I asked if there is any 1 drink package for $17.50. Then the kbox person told me that there is no student package for weekends and only heartland malls have such packages.

Then i asked, but i called you guys just now and the person said there is such a package.
The person replied saying that oh, it was not me who answer the phone.

WTH? Cant be i called the wrong number? It says on my contact list Kbox(Cineleisure)

Then i thought that maybe the number was for the lvl 8 outlet. So, i went up to the lvl 8 outlet and again, they gave me the freaking same answer!

ARGH! We were so pissed off la.
Who the hell picked our phone!?
Some person who wanted to impersonate as a kbox staff? Cant be possible right!?

Too bad i didnt take down the name of the person answering my call or else, i would’ve shoot some emails.
Whats the use of having a call line if the information provided from the call is not accurate!?


Okay so the 3 of us was quite lost at orchard.

we shoot some pictures, went to HMV and heeren for some walk and then left home, since the birthday gang will be coming to my house for drinking and movies session again tonight!
so we thought that okay, forget about the kbox thingy, treat it as kbox is helping us to save some bucks.
we shld just go home and rest b4 the night session.
