cute little oreos + the again smooth cheeseeeeee~

some chocolate to add to the flavour.

looks real cheesy!

in the meantime as i wait for my oreo cheesecake to solidify.

i shall consolidate my pics and share the recipe here!

Ingredients
350g oreo cookies
80g butter melted
375g PHILADELPHIA cream cheese cubed and softened
1/2 cup caster sugar
1tsp vanilla essence
1 cup thickened cream(get it from the diaries section, cost only $3)
3tsp gelatine dissolved in 1/4 cup boiling water.

Cups to grams conversion -> http://www.gourmetsleuth.com/gram_calc.htm

Steps
1. Place 250g oreo cookies into food processor. Process them into powdery form

I dont have a food processor, so i use the old kampong style. The "zhong" method.

2. Add butter and mix them well.

3. Spread evenly with a spoon on a aluminium tin. You can add a cling wrap or apply a layer of butter to prevent the cake from sticking too much to the pan.
*Leave the pan with the layer of cookies in the fridge for 30mins.

i forgot the cling wrap thingy and i just spread a layer of butter to the pan.

4. Next, beat the PHILADELPHIA cream cheese, sugar and vanilla essence together until smooth. Then beat in the thickened cream and stir through with the gelatine mixture.

5. Chop the remaining oreo cookies, add into the mixture and stir.
This time round the cookies need not be in powder form. U can choose to have it in chunky form too, its about your personal preference.

Mine was rather powdery as i dont want my cake to break into big pieces when i try to cut them.

6. Next, pour the mixture onto the layer of oreo cookies.

The mixture should look like this~

Cover and refrigerate it until set.
Reconmended is for at least half a day or one full day. I kept it for 4-5 hours and its still creamy only. Not solid yet.

Okay thats all.

Im still waiting for my cheesecake to settle.

Will post more pictures and report my failure/success tml!

Cya!
