went to catch "the forbidden kingdom" with cy and alvin. ( spoiler alert)


a nice kungfu show indeed. mainly because of the cast, jet li and jackie chan.

but the awful thing was. like what alot of critics said.

about 70% of the movie is all in english.

yes.

celestial beings and monks speaking in english.
olden days chinese villagers and soldiers speaking in english.
it just seems ridiculous.

花果山 = the mountain of the flower and fruits.
白发魔女 = white hair witch?
孙悟空 = monkey king

dots. there are much more exotic translation u can find in the movie.

this method of translation simply dun work in chinese kungfu drama.

and one part the 白发魔女 acted by (li bing bing) was having a duel with the golden sparrows acted by (liu yi fei). yes. digusting translations.

golden sparrow : you white hair wicked witch (sumthing like tat)
白发魔女 : you orphan bitch!

lol. bitch.
it just sounds absurd, hearing it in a olden days chinese movie.

okay enuff abt the movie.


went prawning with my campmates. long time nv see them alrdy since im alrdy for att c for like 2weeks!

only managed to catch 2/3 prawns for 1hour+ lol.
sr's GF was nt bad. the moment she came, she got like 2/3 prawns in a row. haha.

theres alot of tactic to learn and master in prawning, yea a new term. lol.
guess i will take time to pick up tat skill.

gonna bk in to camp on sat for sun's guarduty. sad.

will miss the carefree days outside camp.
