argh!
im back from TTS.
just got my first "mini operation" in my life. (hopefully the last)
previously forgot to mention how i got this thing on my leg!
its a unknown insect bite after my guardduty and which my bunkmate also have a totally similar case inwhich he went to CGH for operation to cut off the piece of meat.
went to see doctor at yishun poly at mon, den the doctor was v.good arh.
very gentle and before he touch my wound still say sorry first. haha. so good. unlike the MO or wat, directly squeeze lor, pain like hell.
den got refered to TTS by this doctor to cut a slit on my leg and squeeze out the pus.
directly took a taxi from yis poly to TTS A&E and it was abt 3pm alrdy.
waited and until 5pm finally managed to see doc.
the doc see see touch touch den say need to cut and operate and need to stay
overnight!i was like HUH!?!? the doc at polyclinic didnt tell me anything abt being warded or wat, i tot it was gonna be a fast one.
the doc then explained tat ohh coz i need to be on antibiotics injection for 4 dosage per 6hours bla bla so i have to stay overnite for the drip thing.
argh.. so after asking some questions i was soon in the operating bed o.o
the operating lights were those typical in dramas one. so scary.
like those here.
the doc inject some light anesthesia (LA) keep hearing the doc discussing.
doc A : give him LA can ?
doc B : yes LA is enough.
lol. can guess from it. argh. the injection is damn pain arh. its like poking a v.hot liquid with a thick metal needle into my already painful swelling wound!
i didnt dare see wat the doc was doing. i was tilted sideways to allow easy access to my wounds. and i conveniently avoided the view of the doc operating on my wound ~_~
then soon my tat part of my leg was rather numb alrdy. can only feel a bit of touch from the doc on my wound areas and occasional squeezes from the doc! wahh he squeeze damn hard, to let all the pus come out. i guess there are lots and lots of pus arh, but i never see, scared i will stop the doc from squeezing if i see! lol. i
怕死!i can also hear occasional scraping of things, no idea wat and i dun wanna see anything disgusting also.
den halfway thru wah my leg suddenly like kenna stab or wat, i think he poke onto the part where my leg dun have anesthesia, wah damn pain.
den soon within like 10-15mins the cutting and squeezing is done. wah relieved. they he bandaged my leg and push me on a wheelchair to his room where he injected the drip thingy, sumthing like those u see in blood donation. the pain was okay arh. i think the anesthesia is like 4-5 times worst than this injection arh. then took a x-ray on my leg, dunno why also.
den a nurse pushed me onto a bed to the observation ward where i waited for like 1hour+ b4 i could be brought to my ward to rest.
it was a class B1 ward. with 4 person in a ward, got air-con got TV.
but the TV cannot use! reason being, we are supposed to stay in B2 wards but due to inavailability, we are lending the B1 wards, therefore no TV for us. dots -_-.
it was ard 8pm when i reached the ward liao lor. my parents packed japanese food from the nearby foodcour for me. the dinner from the hosp was fishmeat and veggies and orange, the fish not bad. haha. but not as sumptous as my camp meals. haha.
damn bored there, nth to do. luckily my dad bought
晚报, then read some
八卦. in the mean time have to answer alot of phonecalls from the COS. my camp's duty sergent.
they have to record alot of things since im warded!
haiz, so much problem la. they say i have to call and inform them when i go report sick and when i was refered from yishun poly to TTS bla bla bla. so sian. my leg so pain so
烦 liao still must kenna this type of bombarments.. haiz... then today after discharged i got my MC all this, i quickly called them tell them every single thing liao. scared later they call again ask this ask tat. haiz!
my parents left at ard 10pm den i went slp. slp halfway got alot of visits by the doctors and nurse arh.
10:30pm : 3-4 doctors come check on my status, see how i am bla bla.
1255am : come and give me drip, the antibiotic. wake me up from my sleep~_~
then when she put the thing i feel uncomfortable, with a pipe there connected to my hands, den somemore can feel the cold solution flowing into my arms. arrgh disgusting feeling.
i was thinking when i get old, i would kenna more of such poking of medicines and stuffs. i think i wont be able to take it! i find its so againist mother nature. lol. i keep thinking if my veins will be able to take it when the water flows in. den the nurse as if it was painful. it didnt hurt but it felt uncomfortable. i was thinking if the doc didnt inject the first tube probably, the water might flow out of the needle or wat, den flow into my body? or wat? arh!! think too much. haha.
5:55am : the nurse came to put the drip again. samn uncomfortable feeling!
8am : ard tat time? the nurse came to measure my vital signs, BP and stuffs. (wah they like measure them ard 10times since i stepped into TTS till im discharged.)
8:30am : a group of 5-6 doctors with a senior doc. i think the senior doc is like giving approval to watever the younger docs had diagnosed and given treament to. they checked my wounds and went asked some questions and went off.
i think alot ytd, den i rmb hearing why many old ppl would wan to die at home rather than in hospital and why many ppl opted to
安乐死 rather than to get treated with so many pipes and medicines. now i sort of understand although mine, compared to their's is chicken feet or just a tip of the ice berg.
today got discharged at ard 2pm+. my camp mate's GF came to see me at lunch time coz she was working ard that area. thx for the visit and fruits :) again. haha.
my camp also needed to send me a hamper, under the SAF policy. haaha. yes law-by-laws have to send de.
finally got it in the night ard 9pm+. they didnt know where to send to since i was not sure when i will be discharged and i guess they decided to send at night which confirm will have ppl at home.
heres the hamper.
not bad got chicken essence, birdnest bla bla. haha.
thats the condition of my leg now.
and the place where they put the drip. lol. abit weird position. but its the doc's choice, coz the elbow tat part, he scared i have to keep my arms straight, den my backhand the veins nt tat obvious. so he used tat part. haha.
haiz. now everyday have to go polyclinic change dressing. then sat have to go for medical review at 8:20am at TTS! argh.
scared the pus doesnt go off completely...
haiz...
tats all for my update on my warding experience. lol.
