Wow, this album is such a fast one from Rainie's last album, "Ai Mei" which topped various charts in Taiwan and were among the tops in Singapore too.

This is already a astonishing achievement for a newcomer!

The latest move from Rainie is her brand new album, "Yu Shang Ai" which was released in whole of Asia on 2006.03.17 which was just a mere 6months from her last album which was released on 2005.09.09.

As usual, it is always not easy for quality and quantity to meet. "Yu Shang Ai" for me is definitely not any better than "Ai Mei" which took a few years production before the date of release.

There are a few highlights in "Yu Shang Ai" but it still lack the overall package and a variety of choice.

Personally, I would reconmend the smash hit, "Qing Zhu" which is the typical Rainie type of song where she fully displayed her cutie pie image. Many will love this song due to it's catchy tune.

Next would be "Yu Shang Ai" where at the starting there is a series of background vocal of Rainie whispering "Dang Ni Yu Shang Le Ai, Yu Shang Le Ai". Wow that was my favourite part, later on the song becomes rather monotonous.

Last would be "Jie Mo Qiao Ke Li" which means "Wasabi Chocolate" Why do singers like to use food as their song name so much ?_? E.g Dou Jiang You Tiao by JJ, Xiang Cao Ba Bu by Nan Quan Ma Ma, Ai Qing Yogurt by JJ and many more!! Anyway back to "Wasabi Chocolate". In this song, Rainie again used a lot "act cute" way to sing this song as the title of the song meant it that way. Rainie handled this well and there was no feeling of her overdoing it. Again, this is another cute and cheerful song.
