I have really neglected this little space of mine recently!

i think … its the longest dry period(without blogpost) since mths/years

Okay and i’m suddenly inspired to blog because i read some other blogs which sort of motivated me to sit down, take a break from the fast pace of school life and take a look around me and appreciate stuffs.

i haven blogged for weeks and i didnt even visit my blogpage (i used to do it everyday) as all i see will be bots spamming my cbox.

but i went to check nuffnang’s stats and it shows that there are still 5-10 ppl visiting my blog daily.

i wonder who those ppl are, maybe they just landed here when they googled for some random stuffs.

Current mood: Playing slow english songs and chilling~

Finals is coming in 2 weeks time and i’m currently in the “finals-is-really-scary-and-detestable-but-what-else-can-i-do-except-to-chiong-and-mug-like-hell-and-hopefully-it-will-pass-soon”

But before that, GEK2005 and IT1004 projects to clear!

Friday 1st April, april fool day, went to see my Sun Yan Zi!

after 4 years of hiatus, finally her new album!

but i must admit that i didnt really like her new album that that that much.

but i really like one song, called 时光小偷!

go youtube and search, its a really simple song and i think it really shows yanzi’s clear and beautiful voice fully in this song.

Yesterday when i was walking back home, i met a secondary sch friend under a block studying at 11pm+.

He was standing at some weird corner and reading a stack of lecture notes.

First reaction from me was "Why are you studying here!?"

Then he told me that he got stressed up studying at home and decided to come out and take a breather.

He's from NUS too, engineering course and he seemed really stressed out, just like what i experienced a few days ago before my money&banking(+2 other econs) midterms.

So we chatted awhile and told him to relax abit and maybe do some sports or go for a run to chill.

After like a conversation of about 10mins i we bided goodbye.

Felt good chatting with him, but it was kinda weird also cos i always tend to talk about him with my other group of sec sch friends and we will like gossip about some of his weird doings and fashion sense.

SO it was a kinda weird feeling.

But i can't help gossiping about some of his stuffs cos something that he does is really too weirddd!

So yeaaa, but i really have no evil/bad intentions when i gossip about him.

awww, what a dilemma.

but anway! he mentioned to me that i look bigger size than before.

thrn i asked him issit i'm fatter alrdy!?

then he told me no, is become more "built".

HAHA i was like damn happy.

i rmb when i was in sec sch i look like a skinny nerd w pimples.

jc times i became slightly better(minus the pimples?)

it was during JC time that i started gyming with weiyang.

and thanks to that, otherwise i think i won't be able to brisk thru army and gym regularly now!

and the past 2 gym session i measured my weight and i hit 61kg.

up 2 kgs from 59.

so i guess my gym sessions and my egg whites are working.

my current goals of my life now is to workout hard and study hard!

yea yea healthy lifestyle!

So me and vince completed our 2-day Kayak 1-star course!

haha i know 1-star is like noob level la.

but it's the experience that is fun k!

yayyy.

it was super enjoyable.

i love every moment when i was out in the water.

the kallang river has been turned into a freshwater area eversince the marina barrage was built.

the water was quite clean! unlike what my friend who described the water as filled with rubbish, dead leafs, salty seawater.

okay la there’s of course still rubbish and dead leafs but its all quite scattered around and they are mostly pushed nearer to the shores yea.

i dressed better on the first day la.

my photo was taken when our course ended on the 2nd day.

my hair was damn messy, after all the capsizing drills and rescue drills and stuffs.

and the company was kinda fun, although i must say that they are quite “unique”.

there’s this crazy mixed korean + japanese called surami?

he kept doing all sorts of weird stunts when he’s on the kayak and on the 2nd day, he started to do somersaults and stuffs into the water.

and first day, he came with a super bright golden brown hair and the next day, he went to cut botak!?

like so random and anyhow la.

haha.

there’s also the crappy malay girl who named her sun block as mayonaise.

and also there’s the clubber girl who kept getting pushed by ppl in the club! who went to club the night after our first day’s training and came back the next day with a same set of clothes cause she stayed over at her friend’s house.

so funnn i wanna kayakkkkk.

the most ke xi thing is that WE DIDN’T HAVE OUR EXPEDITION TO THE FLYER OR MARINA BAY AREA!

GRRR.

i was expecting it since the day before when the coach told us we will be doing tat the next day.

grrr, cheat our feelings.

and our cert have to wait like a few weeks/months before we can get it!

OVERALL it’s a very very fun and unforgettable 2days of slight breakaway from school work and for me to embrace the sun and the water!

i love the sun the sun the sunnnn.

it’s funny how u can miss going back a place so fast when u just went to the place for 2 days.

oh ya and the capsize and rescue drills was funnn, getting into the cooling water and stuffs.

haiz.

now it’s back to reality, 3 mid-term tests next week.

gonna mug hardddd.

i shall go kayak like every other day in my 3mth’s break from may-aug!

Spent Valentine’s Day with this bunch of people.

Before that we went to watched Jennifer Aniston’s movie “Just Go With It”

It’s those typical romance comedy american movie.

But this one made us laugh almost through the movie.

The kids in the movie is damn cute n smart.

4/5 popcorns worthy!

it's kinda tasteless, not flavour-full every kind, like the one we had in taiwan!

nice to see, but not really nice to eat!

I agree!

I think the atmosphere of CNY is priceless!

CNY is definitely the TOP 3 favourite festival/holiday in my list.

I think actually, it’s my favourite leh!

It’s just the very 热闹feel therefore CNY for me is very important!

And i was sorting out my ang baos and i found found some ang baos to be quite pretty!

I started reading his blog when i saw a link to his blog from yanziunlimited.org forum.

thinking back, i even actively posted stuffs on the forum before and nearly joined the fanclub.

and i proud to say that i own every album of sunyanzi eversince her first album which i bought when i was primary6.

and for her new album, i'm gonna chiong out and buy/preorder it on the first day it is released!

now i guess the only surviving music store is HMV, cd-rama and sembawang music centre all vanished within this 4years when yanzi disappeared!

her voice got that magical power whenever i listen to her songs i'll have that indescribable feeling.

she's also the only female singer that made me spent 300+400bucks for her 2 concerts, The Moment and her more recent concert.

the ben&jerry's girls are hot.

and there’s also awesome music, all the mashups, remixes of latest hits being played.

and i heard all my favourite songs that night!

teenage dream mashup, i gotta feeling, raise your glass, all the mashups all so MASHED-UP that i can’t even rmb which songs are mixed together but i just love all the songs over there.

and the live band there sang FIREWORK LIVE.

i jumped out of my seat when i heard the starting music being played!

damn high it’s like clubbing over there and we were all singing along with the band and the music.

and we played monopoly deal too.

great fun, great food, great music, great company.

Kinda love my new hair.

I admit i haven been blogging for like 1week+ alrdy!

This space over here is collecting dust alrdy and i think i really need to update the front post(which was the stupid quiz) with some nice pictures!

and i happen to suddenly wanna camwhore at night and i took out my cam to take some pictures and i found some overdue ECP photos in my SD card!

didn’t sort of upload or bother to edit the photos cause there i rmb there wasn’t much nice photos taken that day.

but i went to browse thru the folder and actly, some of the photos looks quite nice, of course after going thru my editing process.

just to sidetrack abit!

i think editing picture is a MUST and its not cos u are unnatural or u are a vainpot.

it is to bring out the beauty and the “feel” of the picture when the camera fails to do that.

i like to edit the lightings, the colours, the smoothness of the pictures to present a diff “feel” to the diff photos!

and we were so hungry n tired we sat at MOS burger and we nibbled on the drumlet and we refused to put down the bone even when we finished the meat alrdy, we were still sucking the juice or watever sauce that was left on the drumlet.

Poster looks familiar huh~

Yea its like the 2nd chU movie after 等一等爱情。

Starring Felicia Chin & Wang Chuan Yi(taiwanese idol)

Shall not talk much about this movie, cause i felt that it wasn’t as good as 等一等爱情.

The script was kinda crappy.

Halfway watching the movie, i felt that the different parts were not linking up.

The way the scenes were captured were also of the normal ch8 9pm drama type.

Typical angles, typical place to capture a scene.

This is a oh-so-typical-love-story movie, not a sincere production like 等一等爱情!

You can straight away see the sincerity from their “credits”, go watch the credits of both movies and you will understand what i mean.

Okay but its still watcheable la, cause i managed to sit thru the whole movie in front of my lappy.

Watch it if you have extra time to spareeee~

I’ve always wanted to blog about this.

I still rmb, years ago, when i was in secondary sch or JC, i am always very dependent on people.

i always have to ask people to accompany me even to sunplaza to buy some necessities or to visit the barber and stuffs.

I dunno why but i always feel that people are looking at me doing things alone and stuffs.

But nowwww, i’ve growth up.

I am now kinda happy to be able to shop carefreely alone.

Without the need to worry about the person accompanying you getting bored and stuffs.

I secretly enjoy shopping at CARREFOUR and GIANT and DAISO cause there are so many things there and they really sell all sort of crappy stuffs, some useful and some totally a waste of money.

Okay and today i went GIANT and i saw a foldable table which cost only $20+.

I took a photo of it with my iphone and i gonna show it to my mum and ask them to buy me thatttt~

haha and i’m loving Sembawang Shopping Centre more and more because theres a free shuttle bus service that stops right below my blk and i like the shops there!

Aston’s, Daiso, Subway(new found love), Giant, Bubble Tea(not bad, better than sweet talk), Popular(only stationary shop in sembawang!), Starbucks!

Yepppp.

And another reason is that there seems to be alot of eye candy in SSC.

Few weeks ago at starbucks and today saw one at Giant.

Okay today’s post is really longgggg.

I’m getting hungry and i’m going to start a home exercise regime and i’m going to write down my everyday’s exercise aim on my desktop so that i’ll follow it strictly and get back my mass soon!

A rare piece of work for a local production.

No glamorous settings, no beautiful landscapes, simple as it is, all is good enough.

I still rmb i missed the official telecast of it on TV and i went home and asked those who watched it and they all said it was a “pleasant feeling” watching the movie.

Yea, now i know what this “pleasant feeling” means.

It’s not those kind of “Oh my god its so fuking dramatic, you will be crying this moment and the next you will be laughing like crazy.” kind of movie.

It just gives me a sense of tranquillity after watching it.

And i love the OST or music and sketches and quotes in the movie.

All this adds on alot to the overall pleasant “feel”.

It’s a must-watch!

(I dunno why my family likes to plan year-end holidays normally on xmas day but this year they didn’t plan bali on the 25th)

1 whole day of doing nothing to slack at home and sort out my thoughts.

Call me a weirdo or what but i enjoy doing that once in a while and i kinda need that moment for myself o.O

This few days after ICT, i’ve been watching GLEE and i’m like totally in the GLEE mood nowww.(just watched the xmas episode)

I wasn’t really that mesmerised by the xmas episode but i really love it when they sing those songs that i have it playing in my winamp!

HEY SOUL SISTER, TEENAGE DREAM(WOOOOHOO), UMBRELLA bla bla omg there so many songs that i really like and they sang it in GLEE!

Too bad i’m not talented and i cant play guitar or keyboard, or i would have made my own covers of songs that i liked!

Maybe i shall call alvin after his exams to do sort of a DIY self-taught acapella-style cover.

since we both dunno any instruments!

Army Days …

With just a blink of eyes, ICT is finally 4/5 over with battalion cohesion tml, which marks the end of my very first reservist training.

As usual, with every other “school reopening” “booking in to camp” “start of work” “start of exams” or whatever unpleasant things that you are gonna embark on, we always have this thing called “monday blue”

Yea and i was having it last sunday before booking in.

But the week passed really fast and it was a pretty relaxed first ICT to sort of warm us up.

And training was kinda “enjoyable” cause it was kept short and and sweet.

Partly because we were very zai also, we really had the 默契 and we did our things swiftly and everything went smoothly.

Can’t disclose any military or training stuffs so i’m keeping the details to myself.

But i kinda miss the do-nothing-but-eat-sleep-canteen-play-risks(the board game)-bookout life when we were going to ORD.

and the camp looks the same except for some changes here and there.

And the bed is comfortable and i think even better than my own bed at home.

When we were in the midst of the training, we were recollecting about how hard we were training and all the stupid shit and stuffs that we went thru.

Thinking back, the memories are really irreplaceable and will really carry on with me all the way till i dieeeee.

Although it feels really shitty when you are doing those shits but thinking back, its a really special experience which you really won’t ever experience it outside, not in concrete jungle Singapore.

Looking back at my past blogposts, i really saw the importance of posting lotsa pictures and writing longggggg posts about events that happened cause it really brings back memories when i’m re-reading my past archives.

But for army experience, its different because of security issues, we can’t post restricted stuffs and there aren’t much stuffs that i blogged about much less picturessss.

But i managed to dig out some pictures which are not classified and most likely won’t leak out any information about SAF.

We went for our training in Thailand in 2008 August(i heard we are going back there for one more time during our reservist years o.o”)

And it was for 3weeks and we did hell lotsa things and if i blog about everysingle thing i guess i gonna blog till 6am in the morning.

There’s this CIP thingy during the trip and only some of us volunteered to go and we played with the kids and it was really a nice feeling to see the kids all smiling and happy with the treats that we brought along.

we organised simple games with whatever we had and they were all satisfied and enjoyed themselves alot!

we sort of forced the kids to take pictures with us cause they were too adorable.

super love their glass bottled soft drinks cause its super gassy. (maybe because of the metal cap seal?)

we had this few days tour thingy after our siong exercise!

i rmb that elephant was practically resting his chin on my shoulders la.

and you know how heavy elephants are!

even baby ones weight alotttt.

i quickly “escaped” after we took the picture before he/she squash me.

we went for a crocodile show.

wtf the guy is really risking his life doing this performance.

we went around the zoo and i tink its like a crocodile farm more than a zoo.

we paid some money to buy chicken parts to feed the i think hundreds and hundreds of crocodiles.

there’s this super cute monkey who likes to like shake hand with us whenever we stuck our hands near his cage.

I've been grumbling about why i must be forced to go to Bali with: my brother, my brother's gf, my brother's gf's mother and my parents.

What a weird combination to go to Bali yeaaa?

And recently because of $$ issue, i voiced out my unhappiness to my mum.

"I told ya i dont wanna go Bali, then I won't be restricted financially cause we have to save for the Bali trip!"

Then my mum got quiet and still gave me my pocket money.

Today, my mum quarrelled with my Dad over some minor issues but something she said struck me.

My mum said to me that she just wanted me to go to Bali cause its a once a year thing and she worked so hard all year round just for this once-a-year getaway trip.

And she just wanted my accompany so that the trip will be more lively.
And also because of my Dad's stubborn temper, with me around the trip will be more enjoyable and she will be happier.

I got kind of guilty cause i kept telling her i dont wanna go for the trip and all she wanted was her children's company.

Hmmm.

Okay i shall try to be more entertaining during this trippp.

Recently due to the exam period stress, i felt so cooped up whenever i study for HOURS and HOURS consecutively in my room or outside with my friends.

I am super deprived of entertainment and youtube seems to be the fastest and most direct solution.

And i always get the "Awwww, yep yep I'll join you and lets run away and don't ever look back" feel whenever i listen to this songggg.

Today i was walking along citylink and it feels kind of great to be walking alone in the mall after a long day of studying.

Saw HMV and it reminded me of how sembawang music centre, CD-rama and music junction is disappearing in the neighbourhood and i think HMV is like one of the only music stores surviving now.

So i decided to walk in and browse around and see who's TOP on the chart and stuffs.

This weekend was well-spent (if i dont count in the amount of revision/work left undone)

Saturday was zj’s bday celebration.

Seafood ramen, i really love japanese ramen man.

next was Gong Cha.

I seriously think Gong Cha is really nice, even nicer than KOI.

The layer of milk on the top layer of the tea taste slightly salty, thick and creamy.

Drink it without the straws, directly from the cup to savour the full-flavour of the milk first, then the tea.

i was really tempted to buy another cup(after my Oolong milk tea w Grass Jelly).

Nike City 10K Singapore on 24th October 2010!

I think i slept like only 2hours+ the day before.

Arrived at the venue at about 6:30am?

The nike shirt was really super lime green, we were all like monsters shining in the dark.

today’s run was really enjoying, ran at our own slow pace and chit-chat all the way.

we only sprint when we were at the last 1km.

i’m thinking maybe next year we shld really train up and try to get the best timings.

Went to collect Nike Race 2010 racepack @ orchard central.

the crowd was obviously much lesser than what i saw 2 years ago at Clarke Quay racepack collection day.

i was wondering why i saw nobody carrying any nike racepack when i was walking from somerset mrt to orchard central.

think the nike race fever sort of died down.

2 years ago, the first nike race, there was $20+ nike waterbottle in the racepack, together with the nike shirt.

and i think last year the slots for the race got wiped out very fast after they were open for registration.

this year there are only pathetic coupons and brochures and that super bright limegreen nike shirt.

i tried on the dri-fit tee-shirt and it feels really thin and comfortable!

but its really freaking bright la.

but okay la the design is not bad and i kind of like the racepack also, black in colour and kinda cool, no pictures thou, only the nike shirt pic!

but i think it looks quite nice on me.

i finally got to drink my eachacup caramel milktea!

then we decided to try the top levels of orchard central.

but we rmb the top level restaurant like all v.atas one, so we didnt pin too much hope on finding a dinner place there.

then we saw this korean restaurant, at the edge of the building at lvl 7 i think, with a superb view of orchard road and a selection of indoor and outdoor seats.

and when we requested for table for 5, i told them we want the outside seats. outdoor seats sound more correct lor, so malu.

anyway they were playing some english songs and straight after we settled down.

the next song was Girl’s Generation’s INTO THE NEW WORLD.

and it’s like weiyang’s favourite girls generation song la, he love it more than GEE, you can imagine.

we were like quite high can, nice girls generation song + nice view of orchard road + windy night + korean food.

and we found out that they even have a indian DJ with his station beside us.

what a viewwww.

and the price of the food was affordable!

around the range of 10-20bucks.

quite worth it.

and the $2.90 rice comes with 2 side dishes(peanuts and kimchi) and 5 refillable serving of rice.

i ate like 3 bowls of rice can you imagine that. their rice is damn fluffy like clouds and weiyang describe it as "the rice simply melts in your mouth."

really leh, not exaggerating but the rice is really different and nice.

not recommended is those weird one-dish meals.
servings super small.

order those beef/pork/chicken hotplate + a hotpot(either Pork Jump Over The Well or Wall, i forgot / Seafood Tofu), can share it with 2/3 people with everyone each ordering one $2.90 rice. (+ another dish if you are a bigger eater!)

as i grow older and older and my age increases, my tolerance level seems to be going the other direction(dropping).

i rmb my sec sch friend told me that i changed pretty much since sec sch.

and i guess this change is still on-going.

nowadays i get enraged easily and oh i forgot to blog abt something which i wanted to blog. ( i always think of stuffs to blog abt outside and when i reach home, i totally forgot what i want to blog.)

anyway, it happened when i went sentosa which is weeks ago alrdy.

after sentosa we went to the hawker centre opp vivo to eat.

i wanted to eat char kway teow so i went to look for that same stall where i ate during arts camp.

reached the stall and i saw a chinese english-speaking couple at the end of the queue.

i stood behind them and i rmb that the couple glanced back once(normally when people suddenly stand close to u, u will just anyhow glance one time right, to be kaypoh or what)

then i stood there for 10secs and a indian came to stand at the side of the couple, and he just stood there. (which means he is queuing alrdy)

then i asked him " are you queuing?"

indian man: "ya of course you are out of the queue"

"what?! i was here before you and you are saying that i'm out of the queue?"

indian man: "yaaa you are out of the queue can't you see the queue is here(pointing to where hes standing, he thinks what he say is what it counts issit?)

"no no no, i dont care, what is this. i came first, you are obviously cutting my queue!"

the couple was like looking back at us alrdy.

i was thinking if that freaking indian man dont wanna move behind me, i'll ask the couple to be my zheng4 ren2 to tell him that i came first.

after that he didnt reply and i just didn't care abt him and went on with the queue.

and at that moment i could feel my blood pressure rising and i was feeling the adrenaline rush and if the indian man really insisted in going before me, at that moment i was totally prepared to like kick up a big fuss and quarrel big time with that man and don't care about what freaking image or what i'll just scream and shout and make the whole hawker look at us and its not just abt that plate of char kway teow its about integrity!

i can still vaguely feel that anger now.

i imagine myself when i am in my jc or maybe army age, i guess the most i'll ever do is ask the indian man whether hes queueing and i won't be prepared to quarrel with him or what.

i dunno whether if this change is a good or bad thing, but other than treating strangers, this change sort of applies to my friends and maybe my family members too.

recently there was a couple of times when i was really on the verge of exploding and i was totally preparing to like crush the drinks that i was holding and smash it on the floor.
and in other event, just throw anything that i can see and freaking explode and stomp off.

grrrr.

Slack School Days

These few days spent in school was super slack.

Must be the spillover effect of Recess Week and e-Learning week

Anyway, Tuesday was a damn suay day.

Me, teng and na all thought that tuesday’s geography practical is supposed to be in week10 (its week 9 this week) and we all had the mentality of ending our day at 2pm after the geo lect.

i planned to swim/suntan.
teng planned to go bugis and 拜拜.
na planned to watch Devil with her friend.

and there goes all our plans!

we got freaking pissed off when we all realised that the practically is gonna be from 4pm to 6pm and we will be zuo bo-ing from 2pm-4pm.

and okay we were partly at fault also cause the lecturer did say on the e-learning lecture and email like 1-2 days before and reminded us on some other place where i forgot.

butttt, i understood it as week9 we will start practical for those ‘Even’ week practicals.

and the dumb thing was, the practical was changed to week 9 and its still shown on the IVLE website as week10 and week12.

they say it is a system glitch and it happened since CORS bidding and why can’t they just change the freaking thing and leave it as week 10 to confuse ppl!

i was sure there won’t be practical this week because i went to IVLE to check as its supposed to be like the most updated and direct way to cfm academic stuffs.

GRRRRR.

back to the slack week topic.

wednesday, which is today, was super slack also.

na persuaded us to watch Devil at Plaza Sing during our long 5hours break.

cabbed down to PS from sch and caught the 12:40pm one.

omg so thrilling i like the twist in the storyline although some parts of the story couldn’t be explained totally with logic, you just have to be abit more religious, or believe that that Devil is invincible and it exist everywhere.

Yesterday night was a awesome getaway from the overloading school work and midterm tests which practically occupied the whole of my recess week.
(that explained my disappearance in my blog for the past whole week :( )

And to add on to this, my wish came trueeee.

Still Sick.

Yea, i'm still sick.
(Just incase if you hate disgusting stuffs like mucus, phlegms and salivas, then please stop reading beyond this line!)

It's been like 1week already, this sore throat and phlegm thingy.

The doctor said i most probably had tonsillitis and or sinusitis.

The pain in my throat was so bad that i guess i barely spoken 5 complete sentence to my family or ppl who called me(since i was stucked at home).

Today i had to call the clinic to change my appt date and i thought i sounded damn weak and weirddd.

I couldn't even express myself clearly laaa.

Feels so incompetent, where did my nice and bombastic voice wenttt.

Must be the phlegm's fault, i think the portion between my nostril and my throat most probably have like a olympic pool size volume of phlegm stalled in there.

I'm gonna experiment on tyrone's method of washing my throat down with 1 cup of water per hour, see if it will wash those stubborn phlegm down.

At least there's a slight consolation today, the pain on my throat subsided!

Like from a pain scale of 9/10 2 days ago, to like 8/10 ytd and maybe 5/10 today.

5/10 is still like the normal sore throat that we get when our body got heaty k.

The 9/10 scale was ultimate, every saliva that i swallowed was a traumatic moment.

I take like 15mins-30mins to finish a cup of plain water, 1-2hour to finish a bowl of greenbean soup.

Therefore, i always accumulate until my mouth's full of saliva before i take a deep breath and, GLURP that mouthful of saliva down, i know its kinda disgusting, but it was for survival, literally!

Recess week is here …

The supposedly most enjoyable friday. (Start of recess week, handed in the 10-page report, many outing plans)

Turns out to be spent resting at home.

And this sore throat is like not recovering at all and it seems to be getting worst.

I was so tempted to still gym today as i promised myself to set every friday as gyming day.

And strange enough, i actually miss working out.

I really like khatib gym’s atmosphere, the french windows(落地窗) yea i went to google it, its called french windows lol. Gyming while listening to the songs which seems always seem nicer when played there.

Night cycling to chompchomp was also cancelled as tyrone was also down with food poisoning, alvin is falling sick too. (how suay can we get yea)

And i just saw another friend who posted this fb,

“sick on a friday night....brilliant”

Was again super tempted to go out when one friend wanted to go town to screen protector for his iphone4.

I hope, i pray, i eat medicine timely and try to get as much sleep as possible so that hopefully by tml, i’ll be able to see a slight recovery :(

Starting to feel the stress of the incoming workload.

Mid-terms coming in 2weeks, many many many major project deadlines towards the end of October.

I can foresee that i’ll be super stressed-up during that period.

What’s worst, i’m not getting that mugging momentum that i had for the last sem.

More worse, sore throat virus is attacking me, making me even harder to conc on my tutorials/readings and everyday’s functioning.

Like finally the teletubies went on a msia trip!

kl was super opposed to any outing abroad as she always thought that JB is very dangerous and 乱 place.

then when she finally found out city square is just directly outside the custom, she got addicted and went on 4 trips herself.

we met super early, at like 9:45am at kranji and bus-ed to JB!

first, ktv session @ city square, very cheap, 10+ dollar for a meal + mini buffet(got fries, hotdog, fried eggs, salad bla bla) and sing for 2hours.

we all shopped city square for 52185 times alrdy, therefore we decided to venture out.

went to explore the street opposite citysquare.

found a new shopping mall, but abit ulu, alot of malay stuffs, but still can shop :D

I'm simply loving my 4 day week.

alvin came to fetch me in sch and then met up with wy and swim/tanned at his house.

but it wasn't v. productive, started tanning at only ard 4:45pm?

The sun was kinda weak alrdy, saddd, i'm still not getting any darker after like 3 swimming cum tanning session.

Anyway we went to IT show straight after, wy pangseh-ed and it ended up with me and alvin only.

Took 167 and we slowly bus-ed to suntec.

although it was only the 2 of us, we didnt have any moments when we were out of topic.

we were saying oh how tired we were and we shld just sleep thru the bus journey, but we ended up chatting all the way on the journey to suntec and on the way back.

saw kl, yb and her bf at the IT show.

i totally couldn't spot kl.

i saw yb and was looking ard to see who she was with, then i looked one round and i didn't spot kl and she was like right infront of me.

until she waved at me, then i went, OMG, who are you, i didn't realised you are kl!

and we just like met a few weeks ago.

i guess its because i'm still not very used to her new hair colour and she was wearing something different from what she will usually wear.

alvin bought a speaker from SONICGEAR, highly recommend speakers from SONICGEAR, affordable and nice sound quality.

and it's supposed to be gym session today, but i guess it's gonna be cancelled :(

nvmmmm, i shall find other productive stuffs to do.

i should really get started on my project, readings and tutorials soon.

i dunno why but this sem, i'm totally not in the study-mood.

My nuffnang moola finally arrived!

I must say that their service is really not bad.

Because i think i never put my fullname(which is needed for the cheque to go through), then my money wasn’t processed since June.

So i sent a email i think last week?

And they replied v.soon and promised to send me my cheque within 2weeks.

And here it is! I think it came within a week!?

My first money cheque eversince my blog started putting nuffnang ads!

We are supposed or encouraged to blog about this!

and its pretty exciting that i get to earn moolas while doing the thing i like, blogging!

50bucks is the minimum to get the cashout.

Not a huge amount, but i’m super satisfied alrdy, i get paid when i just blog about my stuffs!

Saturday was birthday surprise with the semb clique!

Kinda expected it as every year we will hold the same old “surprises”

But i didnt expect this totally hand-made cake from 3 guys who totally dont bake!

And it looks totally professional k.

and in the end my “tool” was a stupid disposable fork and alvin got a dumb penguin nailclipper!

I tried the Garlic and Herb.

Actually all the flavours are are powder flavourings similar to the mcdonald’s seaweed fries that you are familiar with.

Taste was okay, got kinda tired of eating the fries after eating the burger, it then became a chore to finish up the fries.

And that garlic or herb taste or msg taste stayed in my mouth for quite awhile.

Roller-blading @ ECP.

Rained heavily, sunshine, cloudy, shower, sunshine again.

Managed to blade for 2hours when it was cloudy and showering abit.

2hours was just nice, didn’t blade for like ages alrdy, luckily i’m rmb how to blade!

Although i can blade normally, i still get the occasional “gonna fall anytime” feeling when i got slightly speedy.

On another note, taiwan trip is in 3days.

But i'm not feeling prepared for it.

I've got things that i need to buy and i've got like so many things to do before school reopen and it seems like because of this trip, the other parts of my life would have to halt and for 5days i'll be away.

But of course, i'll surely enjoy this trip! Its just that i don't have that buffer period for me to breathe and simply do nothing at home and prepare myself for this 5 full days of enjoyment!

Universal Studio Singapore

Went on a Universal Studio Singapore “preview” trip.

Explored the Hollywood and New York part of the park.

The other parts of the park we couldn’t access.

But it was super worth it, 5 bucks for fireworks + pretty photos, and an additional 3 bucks for Hotel For Dogs movie(although i watched them alrdy, there will be other movies screening every week!)

Every Friday and Saturday, at 10pm there will be fireworks performance!

The fireworks are damn close to you la and damn nice and it lasted for 4mins+, nearly 5mins.

I can totally feel the heal and the impact of the fireworks and its like exploding right infront of me.

Talking about Hotel for Dogs, i teared, secretly when watching. Although i alrdy watched it before alrdy.

I have a soft spot animals or livings things that are non-human.

They are direct, straight-forward, they dont play mind-games with you, they like you, they get close to you, they dislike you, they ignore you or walk away.

I rmb when i was young, i guess when i was in upper primary.

There was a row of Angsana tree along chongpang road, where the KFC is located.

I have a special feeling for that row of angsana trees, i felt especially close and thankful towards the trees whenever i walk under their shelter on a hot sunny day.

Then 1 day i saw banglas cutting those trees down with chainsaws and i was damn sad, i cried man. It was painful, watching those trees which most probably lived for at least a decade, lay there helplessly, getting chain-sawed by humans, what wrong have they done :(

I could feel for them man, although they can’t scream for help, they won’t retaliate and stuffs, i felt sad for them…

And i rmb when i was young, i used to talk to my hamsters whenever i got scolded by my parents when i got naughty.

I would look into their eyes pour my heart out, and i actually feel that they can understand me, the only thing is they can’t speak to console me.

Now, i still talk to stray cats below my HDB.

It’s been quite sometime since i last catch a movie on it’s first day of release.

Was a rather impromptu decision and i’m surprised this movie thingy went thru!

Sms-ed the semb clique and 3 out of 5 managed to make it.

Best combination, work starts at 2:30pm, i got tickets at 2:20pm @ They Cathay 6bucks each, paid by nets. Knocked off at 7:30pm met them for dinner, then 9pm Twilight Saga, Eclipse.

Today’s work was damn damn slack, i rmb looking at the system, picked like 4 calls in the first 3hrs+!?
That’s like average 1hour 1 call.

Maybe cause there was no live matches today.

Oh yea and on monday i met a interesting customer.

It was the first time somebody said that to me.

The customer was about to end his call when suddenly he said,

"Ehh, hello~"

me: "Ah, yes?"

"Hey, i must say that, you are really good!"

me: "Errrr, oohhhh, thanks!"

"Haha, thank you, bye bye."

me: "Welcome, Bye Bye!"

made me smile for at least 10secs.

after working in the service industry, starhub, and then this job, made me more appreciative of the service industry ppl.

And i think everybody shld be appreciative of them, and not take them for granted and complaint and complaint whenever you manage to grab on something to complaint about.

Let them live man, we are all fellow human beings living on this earth.

Why make life difficult for other, i believe in karma.

It is such kind souls who appreciates ppl that makes service jobs attractive to me.

Saturday’s gonna be a busy day, working 8hours straight, 2 match and with germany & argentina, sure attracts loads of crowd.

And i finally got my pay!

Tonight was so perfect, nice company, nice dinner, nice movie.

Really happy for mengy, hes got a gf!

He hid it well man, together for 2weeks+ and didn’t disclose it to us.

And i failed to spot the change of r/s status a couple of days ago on fb, what a failed stalker-wannabe i am.

And cy was telling me how she thinks that i’m those kind of person who’ll keep thinking and thinking hoping that the right time comes and in the end i’ll most probably do nothing abt it.

Eclipse was like the previous 2 Twilight series, lots of dialogues which i tend to miss out many of their lines all because of their strong accents and the lack of the freaking subtitles.

Bella is getting hotter and hotter, and so is Jacob.

Almost the whole cinema “Wow” and cheered when Jacob appeared without his shirts on, showing his washboard 8packs.

Edward looks like hes’s seriously lacking of sleep or that hes on some drug withdrawals.

I never really thought that i’ll be hooked on a angmoh drama.

But this one is really nice.

It kinda reminds me of High School Musical 3, the movie, Right here, Right now, Can I Have This Dance.

2 of my favourite songs from the movie.

The magical thing about this glee-thingy is that, one minute it sent me laughing and the next, it made me really touched.

I like the sarcastic lines by the old woman with the blue jacket in the center and how the rest of them working hard in being themselves although they are seemed as “special” or the lower caste in high school.

I chiong-ed 4 episodes in a few hours, its addictive!

me and fangwei went to bet the same thing, fulltime for brazil to win and halftime draw.

watched the match at mcdonalds, damn crowded cannnn, we reached at 9pm and it was alrdy quite packed, the match starts at 10pm.

Disappointed with brazil, first-half was kinda boring, we were super excited cos first-half they drawed, which is what we wanted!

but 2nd-half portugal had many shots on goal, me and fw nearly got heart-attack.

dunno what was brazil doing, pass also can miss, keep losing the ball also, nearly 0 shots on goal.

Brazil only woke up like at the last 8mins?

Finally some shots on the goal, but still can’t score, nil-nil in the end :(((((

Although i only bet 14bucks, but its the feeling of losingggggg, super buay songggg!

I hate the weather recently.

It's been raining day and night.

When i wake up at around 2pm everyday, i look out of the window, the sky will be either cloudy or it will be drizzling.

Ytd when i knocked off for work, it drizzled again.

And i rmb 2 days ago when i boarded the cab, i rmb making the same comment to the taxi-uncle, "Aiyoo, 又下雨liao,下一整天liao~"

Now my sore throat is becoming a flu.

Work is getting more and more comfortable.

First day at POMO was disastrous thou. 9:30pm till 4:30am shift is deadly.

And i got allocated to sit between 2 old birds 1 lady and 1 guy.

Think they are in their late 20+ or early 30s.

They were pratically talking non-stop whenever there are no calls with me directly in between them.

Although their conversation sometimes is quite interesting, i can't seem to mix with them la, different, they are like ppl from diff world.

its kinda irritating that i'm stucked in the middle and there's no one for me to talk to.

Luckily the next day, was much much better, i kinda like the 6:30pm to 2:30am shift.

8hours x 8bucks + 10bucks = 74 bucks 1 day.

But the first hour was crazy, 1 hour pick 70+ calls.

Luckily this time round, 1 female colleague who is of the same age as me and another NTU guy sat beside me.

Heard alot of funny stories, stripper club in Las Vegas and dislocated jaws when installing bracers?

Lol.

Then got sick for 1 day :( Went to see the doctor.

The 2:30am, 4:30am shift killed me.

I was seated directly below the air-con and the air-con kept blowing at me and i alrdy drank 2 big nike bottles of water alrdy, but i still got sore throat ytd.

My nose is still feeling very irritatedddd.

Awwww.

Next week's shift got cuttttt, all the shifts will be at AMK and shorter hours, will be earning lesser :(

That's about it, my right nostril is now blocked, gonna go clear my nose and sleep early.
Okay not that early also, 4:45am.

I was queuing for Koi @ AMK.

Then when queueing, i felt droplets of water on my calf.

I thought it was from the roof, so i looked up, no signs of water dripping anywhere.

Then i saw its white in colour, so first thing i did was look around me to see if anybody was drinking koi and spilling it on me.

My friend even told me maybe it was spilled from the koi store.

But it was impossible, i was like at least 2 metres away from the stall.

My friend told me to not to care abt it.

But the water droplet keep landing on my leg and i was frantically looking around to see where it was from.

Then my friend suddenly told me, its dripping from your bag!

Then i realised the carton of milk in my bag is dripping milk onto my bag, my jacket and my sg pools papers.

:(

Damn blur, those ppl around me must be thinking why i was looking ard suspiciously like a weirdo.

The cursed BP is leaking oil in the mexico gulf and i'm leaking milk from my sling bag.

Cursed milk, i have to wash the whole of my sling bag & my jacket myself.

Worst, the jacket still smell of milk today and my mum went to rewash it and i have no jacket today for work.

ROAR.

I love the night.

It is this period of the whole day whereby i'll sit down and reflect deeply on myself.

One of my friend was telling me, how friend B is not himself recently cause unlike us, we have the route to further our studies but he is now aimless now that he just finished his NS and has limited options.

Well other than the goal of getting that piece of paper, there seems to be many many things that are seriouslyyy,

missing.

I'm seriously tired of censoring things that i wanna say on my little space over here.

You know? Its like, you want some people to know, but you don't want many people to know.
You want to say it out, but you don't want to say it face-to-face with people.

Work is getting more and more smooth as long as i dont meet those customers who can't even express themselves clearly but plainly want everything to be fast fast fast, when they are not even helping themselves by making themselves clearer.

Rather slack day today, till the point that i even told my workmate that i wanted some calls so that time can pass faster.

Sat beside this workmate for 3 consecutive days and had been talking to him for the past 3 days, 22hours alrdy.

buttttttt, next week i'm gonna be working at POMO, another outlet alrdy :(

Day 3

Today's gonna be the 3rd day of work.

Also my official 3rd day of working till 2:30am.

But luckily there's cab provided, although my work place is in amk, i can practically reach my doorstep at 2:45am.

Ytd was the first time i worked so long, 6:30pm-2:30pm.

Felt kinda sleepy and lethargic when it was around 11pm+.

Went home first thing = Find food.

I'm always hungry at this weird hours and when its lunch/dinner time, i'll totally have no appetite.

Oh my, my body and stomach clock are all screwed-up.

Shld i persevere till i hit the $500 amount so that i can avoid the cpf deduction, or shld i work till i cannot tahan the everyday sleep at approx 5am for the whole of next week?
Or shld i just work thru the whole world cup?(rather impossible, i'll probably look haggard, thin, zombie-like after that if i take this option)

Wednesday went to sign my contract and got my work pass made.

Look so handsome on my workpass, i hope they let me keep the one with the photo on it after my one month at sg pools.

Don’t have the motivation to start work, kind of hope that my first working day can like drag and drag so that i can slack more :(

If not for the $$$ for the taiwan trip, i guess i’ll just slack and rot awayy.

I always got lotsa things that i wanna share and talk about.

I’m the kind of person that can’t keep things to myself.

Like when my results sucks, i’ll find at least a couple of close friends to rant on.
When i’m having monday blues, i’ll whine and whine and whine non-stop to my friends.

Sometimes even to the extent that my friend will complaint that i simply WHINE TOO MUCH.

wednesday was my virgin visit to butter fact.

always heard from many ppl how awesome and addictive the place is.

“i so wanna butter!~ ”

yea, those were the shout-outs i saw from fb and blogs.

ladies night, totally bo hua for my case as i dont care whether its ladies night or some normal night, i just want the music and the atmosphere.

but no choice have to accommodate the two other ladies.

curse myself for forgetting to bring my SD card when i brought my camera.

cy’s fren didnt bring her cam too, no choice have to make do with my pathetic phone cam.

i like the atmosphere thereee.

my fren had negative remarks of butter fact and he complaint tat the place is too squeezy and small.

but i kind of like the place cos you get to have a really nice view of the singapore river, the flyer and the newly built marina bay sands, basically the whole view of marina bay.

unlike other clubs where you can only see concrete walls and colourful lights flashing around.

there were 2 rooms, 1 was playing retro or old school music which we totally thought was a turnoff, with all those mature looking angmohs in worksuits and coats.

the other room plays normal pop music and remixes, love the music thereee, got the feel, you just need that feellll~

and the people there was damn high.

i guess cos butter fact is in the cbd area and it cost slightly more than rebel zirca bla bla therefore the crowd there seems to be an average 3-5 years old.

there were a couple of angmohs there and they were damn high.

omg they can really lead ppl into the shake shake mood and very soon we were like dancing with those angmohs alrdy.

but things got alittle crazy and we decided to go to the restroom and have a break.

then i guess i had dinner too early and i was feeling really nausea after all the shaking and dancing.

pukeddd, finally got better after that.

other than the later part, love the music and love the everybody dance together atmosphere~

i’m not really that into clubbing and liquor, but once in a while, its pretty good if we can take some time out to let our hair down and forget who we are for a night.

And today was the release of results and the whole day was like kinda dramatic, shall further explain it later in this post.

Night cycling!

I love night activities.

Especially when it 2 things that i like doing combined together, night activities + cycling.

this time round, we didn’t just stop at yishun dam.

first, we dabao some food from the nearby coffee shop, got chicken wings + waffles.

there was seabreeze for a while, then it got kinda hot.

i bet alot of ppl dont know that there’s a dam in northern part of singapore(except the northerners), yes its yishun dam!

one side is seletar reservior, the other side is the sea!

we found a rather empty spot and started playing music and started singing out loud~

awww, damn nice feeling.

and it was also cy’s belated bday surprise which we “owned” her ever since march.

her bday card, totally hand-made by me and alvin.

and after the mini-surprise for caiyu, we decided to cycling on towards the seletar side.

this is the first time that i cycled beyond yishun dam towards the other side of the dam.

seletar' airport’s giant ‘X’ sign, perhaps signalling to the air planes not to land?

it looks damn cool in realife ah.

it was damn nice cycling and exploring a place that we were totally unfamiliar, unlike the usual night cycling trip, its either marsiling/woodands or yishun/khatib/yiochukang.

we got barked by a group of stray dogs opposite the road, luckily the roads were seperated by a canal, otherwise i think those dogs will probably run towards us alrdy.

all the while, we were aiming to cycle towards seletar camp(which was previously my camp) or jalan kayu(prata shop place).

we were navigating out way, trying to find anything that looks like will lead us to seletar camp or jalan kayu.

then we got lost after cycling along a stretch of road with ulu factory/warehouse looking road and it lead us to a exit into a highway!

lol, we were like wtf, we reached the highway.

then we u-turned and it was quite a long way back.

we persevered and finally got back to the crossroad.

we saw a broken signboard and decided to pick it up and camwhore!

lol, random cars that drove past us was like staring all the while at us la.

they think we so strong pull the signboard out ?

lol.

and after this shot, did u see the white Jalan Kayu sign behind us!

we were like OMG, we finally found the route to jalan kayu omggggg.

we cycled past construction sites and stuffs, long journeyyyyy, then we saw cabs going our opposite direction out of nowwhere in the very rural looking place.

therefore we conclude that we are on the right track, cos why the hell will the cabs drive here if this road don’t lead us to jalan kayu!

we continued and i finally found a familiar road, the Piccadilly circle outside my camp!

omg omg, i was practically screaming with joy to alvin and caiyu, “this is damn familiar, yes yes, this is the place, we’ve reached!”

we decided long ago to not peep at our results in the morn and exchange handphones and we shall see and disclose each other’s results to the other party.

very scary the feeling, when i first saw her facial expression when she open the sms.

but in the end, luckily,both of us were pretty satisfied with our results~

then cy suddenly told me her fren asked her to go to jb with her today.

then she asked whether i wanna come along, then i tot, hmm i’m free too, so we called another friend to come along and we went home to change, took our passport and met up at woodlands and went to johor.

damn random lol.

cy’s friend liping recommended us this, you char kuay with coleslaw wrapped inside. ( at city square, opp mary brown)

very niceeeee.

i always like to eat french fries with coleslaw, before that, i totally hate coleslaw and i dont it eat plain.

this you char kuay + coleslaw taste like my fries with coleslaw.

but in the picture is 1 serving which cost $3.50 and it is recommend for 2 person to share cos it will get kinda 腻 if you have one whole you char kway to yourself.

after that, went to buy tickets for the Freddy show, the what nightmare on the elm street thingy.

not v.scary but alot of scenes which keeps u in suspense, those parts are quite thrilling.

Okay, a warning to ppl who often visist johor, here comes the dramatic, we wanted to explore out of city square.

so we crossed this bridge from city square to outside.

then along the bridge some weird guy passed some brochure looking thing to my fren and my fren tot it was a simple brochure and took it.

then the guy went up to him and told him its some kind of lucky draw and asked him to open the paper and see.

the rest of us were then given the similar piece of brochure thingy also.

we all peeled open our paper and all our paper wrote a “Thank you” thingy except one of my friend’s.

he got a weird grey sticker inside with some weird hifi-set pictures and other electric appliance.

then the weird guy mumbled some weird stuffs which i cant really hear clearly.

and he congratulated my friend and wanted to shake hands with us, saying that my fren was v.lucky to win the lucky draw.

then he proceeded to ask whether my friend can drive, cause he won a card or watever shit.

then i was quite pissed alrdy, wth is he mumbling and hes wasting our time, obviously hes a scammer.

then i asked him on purpose, so where do we collect our prize.

then he said wat have to go some petrol station there, then i told him we dunno where is it and i kept telling my friend to just leave.

cos he was like targetting my friend, kept talking to him and like psycho-ing him, irritating to the max.

then he cont mumbling what we have to go where and collect the prize(i was thinking yea yea, we go some weird place and u’ll most prob kidnap us away or rob us)

then i cannot stand it alrdy, wasting our time and wasting his time also, cause we 100% wont fall for his trick.

i tooked the paper and passed it back to him and said “不然给你去collect 那个 prize, 谢谢。” then we walked away.

and his face like suddenly changed.

then after we explored finished, we had to cross the bridge again and we walked past him again and my friend told me he was diao-ing us.

and we saw tat along the bridge, there were at least 3 guys holding on to similar brochure-like paper waiting for their preys.

omg, damn scary la such scammers, wonder what will they do if really some ppl go and fall for their tricks.

stonegrill again for dinner.

was craving for it eversince the last time i tried this with the og.

they say singapore also have this but its more expensive.

after that we went to their super market to do retail therapy.

cos we cant find any clothes that is nice or cheap, we bought lots of foodddd!

breakfast cereal cost like 1-2bucks cheaper thereee.

bought 辫子酥 and 马蹄酥 home.

then caiyu saw baskin robbins and she was so excited!

she say sg dont have this and she said its nice!

and we went to check, they have a 31th anniversary discount, all the big tubs got 31% discount!

omg.

1 tub that we bought, at least a 4-5 scoop, 18.50RM only.

they got lots of flavourrr, the cotton candy one looked damn colourful and nice but dont buy itttt, we nearly got cheated, luckily we tried, it waste like paddle pop!

then cy didnt know wat is paddle pop when i was telling her.

then i sang to her the song, “paddle pop hey!, paddle pop hey! super duper, YUMMY~”

then i caught the ice-cream lady laughing so happily.

in the end we bought brownie chocolate and strawberry cheesecake.
